Apple New Covent Garden Store: Open
Apple has this past weekend opened their largest Apple store in the world – the new store can be found in Covent Garden, London. In May, Apple replaced Microsoft as the largest technology company by market value.
With over 300 employees, some shoppers camped overnight to be one of the first into the store, showing the recent problems with the iPhone 4 have not affected the brands popularity amongst the UK market.
And although no new products were being launched, the first 4,000 visitors received a special t-shirt to mark the occasion.
The store encompasses three separate floors, with designated areas for the Mac, iPads, iPhones and iPods. The space had previously been used as a nightclub, until Apple bought the space and filled the store for its latest venture.
It is Apple’s 300th retail outlet and will co-exist alongside the Regent Street outlet, which until now has been the sole branch for the London market.
