Not content with just making mobile phones, DVD players and TVs, the electronics firm, Samsung is launching a range of consumer gadgets to fill our homes.

On the agenda are super sleek fridges, hi-tech micro wave ovens and cookers too.

Last Year the Korean giant sold more electronic items than any other brand and they are tempting us all again with their new range of kitchen appliances. Aside from the latest Blu-Ray player you can now top off your designer kitchen with similar styling and cutting edge technology.

In fact, Samsung is already making a name for itself when it comes to selling side-by-side fridges. The latest American-style fridge/freezer to hit the UK is the G-Series RSG5DURS priced at £1,625. It has the same standard dimensions as the old H-series fridges, but somehow makes another 4 cubic feet available. It also makes and dispenses crushed ice and filter its own water.

The stylish black Solo microwave (£79.99) looks a little like one of Samsung’s home entertainment systems, but don’t be fooled and try poping a Blue-Ray disc in!

It will be interesting to see how long it takes the other major brands to join in and offer something similar. But with the outlook is looking good for the kitchen designers!
