Blackberry Thunder
Just as you thought the dust had settled in the smartphone market with the launch of Apple iPhone 2.0, then the rumour mill starts on the new Blackberry.
Codenamed “Blackberry Thunder” the new handset from RIMM is thought to be launching in the third quarter of 2008.
The biggest discussions around the forums is that the new phone will follow in the footsteps of Mr Steve Jobs phone creation and be a true touch screen for the first time.
The BlackBerry Thunder will be available exclusively on Verizon Wireless in the United States and Vodafone in Europe.
If RIMM follow the series code the Thunder will be known as the BlackBerry 9500. It is rumoured to feature a huge 360×480 touch display and will apparently run on OS 4.7.
Giving the Iphone a run for its money, the Thunder is likely to have a great multimedia player and integrate with its own version of iTunes adding multimedia download to the gadget.
